Children’s Emergency is a new character-led observational series which follows the work of the mobile intensive care teams dedicated to taking critically ill children to the UK's specialist children's hospitals.
Each time a seriously ill child needs to be moved for life-saving treatment, the highly specialised retrieval teams from CATS (The Children’s Acute Transport Service) will respond 24/7 and transport the child to hospital for emergency care.
Executive Producer for DCD-owned September Films, Shaun Gilmartin, has won exclusive access to these exceptional teams - staffed by consultants and specialist nurses and carrying high-tech life saving equipment to take care of young patients on the spot.
