Billy The Exterminator Delivers Record Breaking US Premiere. Catch it on A&E (US) every Wednesday at 22.30pm ET/PT
A&E’s hit real-life series “Billy The Exterminator” produced by DCD-owned September Films returned Wednesday night with the most-watched episode in the series’ history, garnering 2.1 million viewers for the half-hour premiere, an astonishing 50% growth in total viewers versus the season one average, based on Nielsen’s fast cable ratings.
The season two debut also delivered a record-breaking audience across all key demos. The episode was watched by 1.1 million adults 25-54 and 1.2 million adults 18-49, up 32% and 37% respectively versus the season one average.
Versus the season one debut, “Billy the Exterminator” season two premiere also posted gains of 18% in adults 25-54, 25% in adults 18-49 and a whopping 40% among total viewers.
“Billy the Exterminator” (previously titled “The Exterminators”) follows Billy Bretherton and his family who make up Vexcon, one of Louisiana’s busiest pest removal companies, as they balance family life with the drama of running a successful business together. Keeping it in the family, Billy runs Vexcon with the help of his brother Rick, who he describes as “just as crazy as me,” his father Bill Sr., and his sassy mom Donnie who runs the office. Billy is a former US Air Force Sergeant, and a 16-year pest management veteran.
“Billy The Exterminator” is produced for A&E Network by September Films, a division of DCD Media. Sheldon Lazarus is executive producer and Laura Halperin is co- executive producer for September Films. Robert Sharenow and Elaine Frontain Bryant are executive producers for A&E.
DCD-owned September Films is in production on two further major series for US cable networks, including Bridezillas 7 (25 x60’) for WEtv and Mall Cops (12 x30’) for TLC to air in 2010. New episodes of “Billy the Exterminator” air every Wednesday at 10:30PM ET/PT.
